Dacnis (genus Dacnis) are small tanagers with short pointed bills. The male is brightly colored while the female is drab or less colored.

Split from the Black-faced Dacnis, and only found in Magdalena/Colombia and west Ecuador. Found near small berries. Best seen around San Rafael, Antioquia.
