    PASSERIFORMES: Furnariidae (Ovenbirds)  
Genus: Phacellodomus (3 species, 10 worldwide)

Genus Phacellodomus, Thornbirds, are small brown birds similar to spinetails that are found in open country outside of the forest. Thornbirds generally build large nests out of sticks, and sometimes nest in groups. Male and female are usually similar.
