Tiny. Found in upper ranges of Andean cloud forest, at around 2500 m. Note distinctive wing noise in short flights.

Small size, light colored eye, and dry scrub habitat similar to Pale-eyed Pygmy Tyrant. Check vocal differences, and pearly vent. Note also head is grey and bill is one color (the same color at the base as the tip).
