Genus Hypocnemis, Antwarblers or Warbling Antbirds, are a small group of small understory antbirds with a distinctive type of call. Similar Warbling Antbirds are often identified by range.

Perhaps the most distinctive of the Warbling Antbirds. Found in south Peru (southwest Amazon) and overlaps a bit with the Peruvian Warbling Antbird.
