Note the lack of wing bars from yellow only being on one edge of the primaries. The lower mandible is part dark, part light, and may appear dark if not seen from below. This is now the Amazon species (formerly called Zimmer's Flatbill). The Pacific species is now called Yellow-winged Flatbill.

Commonly called Yellow-breasted Flycatcher or Flatbill. Uniformly colored yellow. Note two bright yellow wing bars. Ochre lore difficult to see.

Note dark lower mandible (except at base) vs. Yellow-olive Flatbill, as well as overall lack of yellow.

Note pale lower mandible. Has wing bars unlike Yellow-margined Flatbill or Zimmer's Flatbill. Most races have a light-colored eye. Note broken eye-ring.
