A large egret often seen 'dancing' when hunting for fish. Note salt water habitat. Very rare visitor to Ecuador.

A small heron with yellow on feet and back of legs, and often found near fresh or salt water. Same color and size as very different Cattle Egret.

A stick nest above an area with alligators. Herons and egrets choose these locations to detract predators like racoons.
